If you are having a home built, don’t count on the builder or county inspectors to catch the problems that will occur as construction continues. Chief Home Inspections can inspect your home at all or anyof the phases of construction. It is much easier to get the builder to fix problems before the beginning of the next phase rather than after you have moved in.
Phase 1Foundation
This inspection takes place before the concrete slab is poured to ensure that the design specifications are complied with.
*Note the gray color is a plastic barrier not concrete
Phase 2Lintel
This is an inspection of the blockwalls, doors, window openings, steel reinforcements, lintels and block cells before the lintels and cells are filled with concrete.
Phase 3Pre-Drywall
This is an inspection of the roof and wall framing, electrical, plumbing, and A/C ducting before the drywall is installed.
Phase 4Drywall
This is an inspection of the doors, cabinetry, trim, and exterior stucco before painting.
Phase 5Final walk thru
This is an inspection to confirm that everything is ready for you to move in.
